Our in-house celebrant means that the person helping you organise all of the logistics is the same person who will be there on the day to lead the ceremony. It keeps things consistent, personal, and avoids you having to tell your story to three different strangers.
If you have your own celebrant in mind then we can accommodate this also.

Yes, we offer prepaid funeral plans that allow you to document your wishes and lock in today's prices, protecting your family from rising costs in the future. Planning ahead gives your family clarity and peace of mind, sparing them from making difficult decisions during an already emotional time. Our team is happy to walk you through the options in a free, no-obligation chat so you can decide what feels right for you.
-
Absolutely. Our swap-out policy means you can easily substitute any element of a package — whether that's choosing a different casket, a different venue, or adding personal touches. Just subtract the cost of the included item and add your preferred choice. We want every farewell to feel authentic to the person being remembered, not locked into a one-size-fits-all template.

Our team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The moment you contact us, we'll begin the process of bringing your loved one into our care and provide you with clear next steps. Whether it's the middle of the night or a public holiday, you can call us on 1800 775 224 and speak directly with a real person who can help. You won't be left waiting or dealing with an after-hours answering service.

We personally return the ashes to your family as soon as they are available. For the death certificate, we handle all the registration paperwork on your behalf, and the timeline depends on processing by the Births, Deaths & Marriages Registry. Typically, you can expect to receive the death certificate within two to three weeks from the date of burial or cremation, though this can occasionally take longer if there are delays at the registry. We'll keep you updated throughout the process so you're never left wondering.

We understand that funeral costs can place strain on a family, especially when they arrive unexpectedly. We offer flexible payment options and are committed to working with you to find a manageable arrangement. Please don't hesitate to reach out — we're here to help ease the burden, not add to it.

There are no rules when it comes to honoring someone’s life. Sunset specialises in creating ceremonies that reflect the real essence of the life being celebrated, so we thrive on a challenge. See our blog for some ideas on what you might like to include. If it’s possible then we’re committed to making it happen.

In line with our pricing policy, we adjust the final invoice to reflect the true costs of the service, so if your chosen venue is low or no-cost, you’ll only pay the actual price. Please note that a Council fee may apply to ceremonies held in public spaces.

Yes, it’s quite common to hold different elements of the ceremony across two locations. For example, you might host the ceremony at one venue followed by a burial or ashes scattering elsewhere. Extra fees may apply so please contact us to discuss.
